This Confusion

its nothing new
your mere attention
sends my brain whirling
at a million miles an hour
to the point where
I can't tell which way is up
everything is so simple
when you pay no attention at all
life is boring
and predictable
and I get along fine
but now
everything reminds me of you
and it's getting harder to
turn you off
to block you out
the part where you take up
every thought
is coming back
I hope Jesus
saves me from this
I can't do it again
it's too much
